Arlene d’Arbonne - Costume design collective

Arlene d’Arbonne, originally from Ohio, is a housewife with two college age children. She admits to being fascinated with the sewing machine from a very early age. She spent hours at her mother’s elbow, watching and learning. At the ripe old age of 14, she decided she could do this ‘sewing’ herself. Since then she has made clothes for herself, family, friends and clients. In 1997 she discovered, or more accurately, was discovered by, school plays. Mrs. d’Arbonne helped dress six plays at Hollis-Brookline Junior High and another eight at Hollis-Brookline High School. This is her third summer at Andy’s. She’s looking forward to working with her daughter, Jess.
