Henry Akona is a director and composer based in New York. This is his fifth season at Andy’s. Previous productions include: The Little Prince (director and composer, 1996); Happy Ending (director, 1997), Pandora’s Box: a vaudeville (director and composer, 2004), The Architecture of Sight (director, 2005) and Tabula Rasa (director and composer, 2005). Prior to moving to New York, Henry was an assistant director at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Upcoming directing projects include the English-language premier of Vaclav Havel’s A Butterfly on the Antenna (part of the Havel Festival: The complete plays of Vaclav Havel presented in honor of his 70th birthday) in October.
