Jessie DiGiacinto - Co-Director, Conservatory; Mentor, Playwrights Lab

Jessie DiGiacinto can’t believe she started doing Andy’s in 1994 and is still able to come and play 11 years later! After presenting her Honors Thesis and graduating a semester early from Wheaton College in Norton, MA, with a BA in Creative Writing and History, she decided to do something random and hiked up to Sugarloaf, ME, to teach skiing to toddlers and scale some of the craziest terrain in the East. (The jury’s still out on whether it’s harder to train a three-year-old to stay away from the trees or carve up a double black diamond…) Next fall, Jess is ecstatic to be heading off to NYC to study at the Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program at Tisch School of the Arts. Andy’s has always been a place where she’s felt nurtured and respected, and she hopes to share those wonderful feelings with all those she teaches! When she’s not waitressing, writing, listening to music, singing, or acting, Jess likes to make cakes and eat them, laugh really loudly, bother her brother, and play the occasional open mic. She’d like to thank Bob and the rest of the Andy’s crew for helping her write her first play in the 5th grade (and for sitting through all 60 minutes of it…) She hasn’t stopped since then, and knows she’ll be doing it for the rest of her life.
