wyckham Avery (Playwright & Director)

Wyckham Avery is a theatre maker and educator based in Washington, DC. Last summer, Andy’s toured her play The Amazing Adventures of Ariana Astronaut which received a nomination from The New Hampshire Theatre Awards for Best Youth Production. In 2016, she directed the premiere of Samantha Rai and the Shogun of Fear at Andy’s. Recently, Wyckham was awarded the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in playwriting. She has also created two solo performances, Cordelia’s Fool—a clown show about King Lear, and Sing Me A Song—an interactive sing-along. She has performed at the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Woolly Mammoth, Rorschach Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, Know Theatre of Cincinnati, Omaha Community Playhouse, Raleigh Little Theatre, and many others. Wyckham received her MFA in acting from the Catholic University of America and trained at the Dell' Arte International School of Physical Theatre.


Ivania Stack (Costume Design)

Ivania Stack is a Costume Designer based in the Washington DC metro area. 

She designs for DC area and regional theatres including: Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company (Company Member), Arena Stage, Center Stage, Everyman Theatre, The Contemporary American Theatre Festival, Kennedy Center Family Theatre, Imagination Stage, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Round House Theatre, Signature Theatre, Imagination Stage, Olney Theatre Center (Associate Artist), Studio Theatre, Theatre J, Constellation Theatre, Synetic Theatre, Forum Theatre, Theatre Alliance, Rorschach Theatre, The Karski Project, Metro Stage, and Gala Hispanic Theatre. 

Ivania is currently the Ringleader for Audience Integration (Artistic Director for Original, Interactive Work) for dog & pony dc, an ensemble of artists who devise innovative productions, including: A Killing GameSeparated at BirthMother Courage and Her Children and Beertown(nominated for a 2012 Helen Hayes award for best new play). 


heather stockwell (Props Design)

HEATHER STOCKWELL (Props Designer, Froggy, My Hero, The Things We Keep) returns for her fifth season at Andy’s designing props. She studied at The Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston and Parsons School of Design in NYC. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in using many different media in the arts and crafts realm, as well as many years of experience in making things and teaching kids and adults. She taught for many years locally at the Sharon Arts Center, Worcester Center for Arts & Crafts and The Beady Eye. She has also shown her work and taught nationally at The Whole Bead Shows and Bead and Button magazine shows. Her son, Woody, is a current “Andy’s Kid” in his eighth season and her sister,Wyckham, is returning this season to write and direct the tour, My Hero. Heather is thrilled to be back this year and to work with this great team of professional artists, designers and directors.


Gianna Mercier (Stage Manager)

GIANNA MERCIER is an editor, stage manager, and rising junior at Ithaca College.  This is her fifth year of involvement at Andy’s and her second year on staff.  Previously she’s worked as a stage manager on last season’s touring show The Amazing Adventures of Arianna Astronaut and a production of Rent by the Cornell Melodramatics at The Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY.
